If it has been four years or more since your initial certification with IRI, it is time for refresher training. IRI offers three ways you can ensure your recovery tools stay sharp!
THREE OPTIONS FOR REFRESHER TRAINING
- Attend an in-person or virtual comprehensive training course at 50% of the cost – 14 modules, 24 CEUs
- Complete 10 CEUs of IRI Advanced Training Courses
- Complete IRI’s NEW virtual refresher course – 4 modules, $500

IRI offers both in-person and virtual options for this training. If taken as a refresher course, IRI alumni will receive a code to save 50% off registration fees. Level 1 Training Schedule
Are you a CRS looking to increase your recovery skills in a specific area or topic of interest?
IRI offers many targeted advanced courses that help you learn, grow and succeed in this amazing industry. You’ll not only earn continuing education units (CEUs) in advanced recovery but sharpen your recovery tools!
Completion of a minimum of 10 CEUs of Advanced Training will extend your IRI Recovery Specialist Certification by an additional 2 years.

Advanced Training Schedule
IRI’s newest self-paced virtual course – training to refresh the skills and tools learned in IRI’s initial Recovery Specialist Training.
This refresher course contains 4 modules to ensure your recovery tools stay sharp!
Module 1: Recovery Specialist Fundamentals: The Role, Skills, & Tools of the Recovery Specialist, and Keys to Collaboration
Module 2: Recovery Specialist Application: Recovery Capital, Recovery Plans and Strengths-Based Support
Module 3: Recovery Specialist Development: Mental Health, Co-Occurring Disorders & Crisis Management
Module 4: Recovery Specialist as a Profession: Ethics, Standards, and Working as a Professional
Completion of these modules will award you with 10 CEUs in Recovery Theory & Practice and will extend your certification for an additional 2 years.
